Katherine Heigl recently spoke out about her childhood in "a the white bubble." She also explains how this experience has affected her parenting of adoptees who are multi-racial. The actress from "Firefly Lane" spoke to a reporter that it didn't matter what color her skin was for her. But after having a conversation with her Korean-American adopted older sister, she noticed the differences in the way people took care of her. "I asked my sister, Meg whether she'd received the same treatment when she went out in public with our parents and in a different manner when she went out on her own without anyone else. Meg replied "Oh Yes! All the times!" Heigl admitted to parents, "That made me realise how foolish I was." She said that she was angry and felt that she needed to channel her anger towards helping the adopted children she has. Heigl has a four year old son and a 13-year-old wife, Josh Kelley. Their daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009. Adalaide is a Black 8-year-old girl they adopted in 2012.
