Arike Ogunbowale

Arike is an American professional basketball player. She plays for the Dallas Wings Women's National Basketball Association. Her name was chosen as the 5th overall selection during the 2019 WNBA Draft by the Dallas Wings. Arike Ogunbowale was born the 2nd March, 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26) and Dare Ogunbowale(20) are two of her siblings. As the youngest sister, she got the attention of her parents. Gregory was her father. He was serving in the Nigerian Army quite a while. Ogunbowale hails from a dynamic family. Her mother Yolanda played softball for DePaul as did her brother Dare. Dare plays football. Her aunt was a volleyball player at UAPB and the cousin Endia Oliver too plays Volleyball at Tennessee State. Ogunbowale was listed on her institution's Honour Roll for three years consecutively. In addition, she has won numerous prizes and gained fame and recognition from her school days. Arike did her graduation from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School situated within her own hometown. Alongside her studies Arike was a member of three varsity teams at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School. Ogunbowale's skills led her to impressive victories while at the school. She has 73 high school start throughout her playing career, she is averaging 1,477 point and 739 rebounds. Ogunbowale was a participant in the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships 2014 FIBA World U17 Championships 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championships where she won Gold Medals. The 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team was announced on 7th July 2014. Ogunbowale was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team following her first collegiate year. Kobe Bryant himself congratulated Ogunbowale following the NCCA Tournament big shot. Ogunbowale's basketball career is starting off well, and she will continue on the same path. Arike ogunbowale is believed to be worth $5 million as per an anonymous source. Ogunbowale's not just an excellent basketball athlete. She also excels in many other sports as well. Her other passions include soccer. She was awarded State Cup titles for Lake County United Soccer Club and FC Milwaukee Soccer Club. She even studied piano for seven years.
